Sana Satish Seeks Vande Bharat Halt at Tuni Railway Station
In India, some important leaders take care of the trains.
A leader named Sana Satish Babu helps make decisions.
He asked the Railway Minister to make a special fast train stop at a small station called Tuni.
The train is called Vande Bharat and it is very special.
Right now, the train goes from Visakhapatnam to Samalkot without stopping, which is a very long distance.
Many people who live near Tuni travel for school, work, and business.
They have wanted the train to stop there for a very long time.
The leader says the train would only need to stop for two minutes.
That would not make the trip much longer, but it would help many people.
Now the minister has to decide if the train will stop at Tuni.
Rajya Sabha member Sana Satish Babu urged Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to provide a commercial halt for the Vande Bharat Express at Tuni railway station.
The Visakhapatnam–Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (Train Nos. 20833/20834) currently runs non-stop for nearly 151 km between Visakhapatnam and Samalkot.
Satish Babu submitted the representation to the Railway Minister in New Delhi on Friday, citing a long-pending public demand from North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
He argued that a two-minute halt at Tuni would bridge the gap with only a negligible impact on the train's overall journey time.
Tuni serves a large catchment area including Payakaraopeta, Kotananduru, Prathipadu, Rowthulapudi, Yeleswaram and the entire Narsipatnam subdivision, with heavy daily passenger traffic.
