Tulsi Therapeutics Completes Liver Failure Therapy Trials
Imagine your liver is like a car engine that gets damaged over time.
Scientists at Tulsi Therapeutics created a special repair kit called Tulsi-28X.
It uses tiny messengers from cells and stem cells to fix the liver.
In animal tests, this repair kit was very successful, with all treated animals showing improvement and no deaths.
This is a big step because currently, the only treatment for serious liver problems is a transplant.
The company is now preparing for tests on people in hopes of making this treatment available.
Tulsi Therapeutics completed a successful animal trial for a stem cell-exosome therapy for chronic liver failure.
The therapy, Tulsi-28X, is derived from Wharton’s Jelly mesenchymal stem cells and their native exosomes.
In the trial, 100% of animals treated with Tulsi-28X showed reversal of liver fibrosis, with zero deaths.
The study was conducted in collaboration with global experts and presented at the AASLD 2024 Liver Conference.
Human clinical trials are planned in collaboration with Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).
