Kashmir Terror Victims Reject Yasin Malik’s Death Penalty Affidavit

Yasin Malik is facing a case connected to the 1990 killing of nurse Sarla Bhat.

In an affidavit, he said he wanted the death penalty and would not defend himself in court.

He also announced that he was divorcing his wife.

Families of people killed by the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front strongly criticized him.

They said he was trying to gain sympathy.

Nirmal Khanna said her husband was among four Air Force personnel killed in Srinagar in 1990.

Dr Sushma Shalla said her father was also killed by JKLF militants that year.

The victims’ families want justice and say Malik deserves severe punishment.
