Man Kills Professor Over Train Dispute
A man named Omkar Shinde got into a fight with a college professor, Alok Kumar Singh, on a train in Mumbai.
The professor told Shinde to be careful because there were women in front of them.
Shinde felt embarrassed and angry.
When they got off the train, Shinde took out a knife and stabbed the professor many times.
The professor died, and Shinde ran away.
The police found Shinde quickly and arrested him.
Shinde said he didn't mean to kill the professor, just to teach him a lesson.
The police say Shinde has a bad temper.
He lives with his family in Mumbai and runs a small jewelry shop.
The police are keeping him in jail until January 29.
Omkar Shinde, 27, stabbed and killed a 32-year-old college professor, Alok Kumar Singh, at Malad Railway Station in Mumbai.
The incident occurred after a verbal dispute when Singh pushed Shinde and scolded him in front of women on the train.
Shinde felt humiliated and stabbed Singh multiple times in the abdomen with a sharp knife upon stepping onto the platform.
Shinde was arrested within 12 hours of the crime after police examined CCTV footage and conducted a manhunt.
Shinde claimed he only intended to 'teach the professor a lesson' and was unaware of the severity of the injuries at the time of his arrest.
