Mexico probes Quintana Roo hotels for cyclospora after UK alert

Some people from the United Kingdom got sick after visiting Mexico.

The sickness is called cyclosporiasis, and it makes your stomach hurt.

It comes from tiny germs that can be in food or water.

British doctors told health officials in Mexico about the sick travelers.

Now Mexico is checking the food and water at more than twelve hotels.

These hotels are in a place called Quintana Roo, which many tourists visit.

Mexico has found 33 cases of cyclosporiasis in several parts of the country.

The health ministry is doing lab tests to find out what is going on.

They will share the results when the tests are finished.

Everyone wants to make sure the hotels are safe for visitors.
