Naman Dhir’s Diving Catch Sparks Debate in India-West Indies ODI

Naman Dhir made a very difficult catch during the India-West Indies second ODI.

Keacy Carty hit the ball after edging a delivery from Prasidh Krishna.

The ball looked as if it might fall close to the ground.

Dhir quickly moved forward and caught it with both hands.

The on-field umpires were not immediately sure that the catch was fair.

They asked the third umpire to review it.

After checking another camera angle, the third umpire decided that Dhir’s fingers were under the ball.

This meant Carty was officially out.

People still discussed the catch because it looked very close to the ground.
