Tanker Crew Safe After Iran Seizure, Manager Confirms
A ship called the Talara was taken by Iran's guards.
The company that manages the ship had not heard from the crew for a couple of days, which made everyone worried.
But on November 16, the captain of the ship called the company and said everyone is okay!
The ship is now parked near a port in Iran.
Iran said they took the ship because it did something wrong with its cargo.
The company is now working to get the ship and its crew released.
This happens sometimes in that part of the world, and people worry about ships carrying important fuel.
The crew of the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker Talara are safe after their vessel was seized by Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).
The tanker's manager, Columbia Shipmanagement, confirmed contact was re-established on November 16.
The tanker, carrying high sulphur gasoil, is now anchored off Iran's Bandar Abbas port.
Iran's IRGC seized the tanker for alleged cargo violations on November 14 while it was sailing in international waters.
This is the first seizure of a tanker by Iran since Israeli-U.S. strikes on Iran in June.
