Tilaknagar Industries Launches 'Seven Islands', Its First Premium Whisky
Tilaknagar Industries, known for brandy, is now making a premium whisky called 'Seven Islands'.
It's a mix of Indian and Scottish malts, aged for up to eight years.
The company wants to make more expensive whiskies and is planning a single malt too.
They recently bought Imperial Blue to help sell their drinks all over India.
Tilaknagar Industries, India’s largest brandy maker, is launching 'Seven Islands', a pure malt whisky priced at ₹5,200 in Maharashtra.
The whisky is the second major release under House of TI, the company’s new luxury and premium vertical, after Monarch Legacy Edition, its grape brandy.
Seven Islands is a blend of four different single malts: two Indian and two Scottish, aged up to eight years in ex-bourbon and ex-wine casks.
The company plans to introduce more brands in the premium segment over the next few years, including a single malt and potentially peated expressions.
The launch of Seven Islands follows Tilaknagar’s acquisition of Imperial Blue, which gives the company its first national distribution network.
