Tight Security for Brazil-India Match at Salt Lake Stadium

India and Brazil are playing a football match at Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday.

Officials expect a large crowd and are preparing extra security.

About 2,000 police personnel and around 400 civic volunteers are expected to help.

Fans are advised to arrive by 5pm.

Before entering, they will have their tickets checked and be searched three times.

More than 300 cameras will monitor the stadium area.

Many items, including bottles, banners, drums and weapons, are not allowed.

Officials say they want to avoid a repeat of the disorder during Lionel Messi’s visit in December.

People can also watch the match on giant screens at Gitanjali Stadium, where the screening starts at 7pm.
