Egypt declares final parliamentary election results
Egypt just finished counting the votes for the last 49 seats in their big election.
This election started a long time ago, over three months!
The people in charge of counting the votes, called the National Elections Authority, said the results on Saturday.
Now, the president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, has a really big majority in the parliament.
This means he can make big changes to the rules of the country, like changing the constitution.
Some places had to vote again because the first time didn't go well, but now it's all done!
Egypt's National Elections Authority announced the results of the final 49 seats in the parliamentary election on January 10.
The election process began over three months ago and has now concluded with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi securing a super-majority.
The final results were delayed due to reruns in constituencies where initial results were annulled.
This super-majority allows President Sisi to amend the constitution.
The parliament now has a total of 596 seats.
