Ukraine Develops Flamingo Missile for Deep Strikes
Ukraine is building a big missile called the Flamingo to hit targets deep inside Russia.
This missile is made by a company called Fire Point, which started after Russia invaded Ukraine.
The Flamingo is very large and can carry a heavy bomb, but it's not as stealthy as Western missiles.
Fire Point is also making drones and other weapons to help Ukraine defend itself.
They are trying to make everything they need in Ukraine so they don't have to rely on other countries.
The company is growing fast and has even been attacked by Russia, but they keep working to improve their missiles.
Ukraine's Fire Point company is developing the Flamingo missile, capable of striking deep into Russian territory with a 2,500-pound warhead and 1,800-mile range.
The Flamingo is designed to be a cost-effective solution, using open-source flight controllers and jet engines from old Soviet aircraft.
Fire Point has rapidly expanded, now employing over 2,000 people across more than 40 facilities in Ukraine, and is valued at over $1 billion.
The company is working to achieve self-sufficiency, aiming to produce seven Flamingos per day and manufacture all components domestically.
Fire Point is receiving funding from Western countries and is under investigation by Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau for potential corruption.
