Lions Cornerback Competition: Rakestraw Jr. Challenges Robertson

The Detroit Lions have a competition for a cornerback position.

Amik Robertson, an experienced player, and Ennis Rakestraw Jr., a younger player, are competing for a spot.

Robertson played well last year but is in the last year of his contract, leading to trade rumors.

However, the Lions haven't said they will trade Robertson because they like having experienced players on the team.

Rakestraw Jr. was drafted last year and might get more playing time.

The team values having experienced players like Robertson for depth.
