Goa's Tourism: No Off Season Anymore Amid High Air Fares

In India, there is a sunny place called Goa where people love to go on holiday.

Long ago, most visitors came only in the winter, from November to February, when the beaches were crowded and the nightlife was exciting.

During the rainy monsoon months, Goa was much quieter, and many hotels and shops ran with fewer staff.

But this old pattern has changed a lot in the last few years.

Now, people visit Goa all year round, even when the weather is rainy.

Weekend events, live music, food festivals, and special hotel deals attract visitors every month.

A hotel and restaurant leader named Gaurish Dhond explains that these activities keep tourists coming.

Even high airfares and missing long weekends have not stopped the crowds.

So Goa no longer really has a quiet off season at all.
