SEBI Chief Urges Entrepreneurs to See Public Markets as Partners

Tuhin Kanta Pandey, the head of SEBI, spoke to entrepreneurs in Mumbai.

He said companies should not use public markets only to raise money or let early investors sell their shares.

Instead, companies should see public investors as long-term partners.

Listed companies must be responsible to many shareholders, including families investing their savings.

Pandey said good boards and strong corporate governance can help businesses grow.

He also said companies should protect minority shareholders and build trust.

Businesses need to prepare for technology risks such as cyber incidents and data breaches.

He encouraged companies to invest patiently in research and development and expand beyond big cities.
