Ten Indian Mutual Funds With the Highest Overseas Allocation
Some Indian mutual funds invest part of their money in companies outside India.
A list based on August 2026 disclosures shows that Edelweiss Technology Fund had the biggest overseas share of its portfolio.
Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund had the most money invested overseas in total, even though its overseas share was lower.
The funds also had very different returns over the year.
SBI Children's Fund – Investment Plan had the highest return, while Franklin India Technology Fund had the lowest.
Investing in other countries can spread money across more markets.
But it does not guarantee that a fund will be safer or earn more.
Changes in currency values can also affect results.
Edelweiss Technology Fund ranked first, with 24.38% of its assets invested overseas in August 2026.
Franklin India Technology Fund and Kotak Pioneer Fund followed with overseas allocations of 20.03% and 16.81%.
Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund had the largest overseas holdings by value, at ₹16,300 crore, despite ranking eighth by allocation percentage.
SBI Children's Fund – Investment Plan led the one-year returns at 13.58%; Franklin India Technology Fund had the lowest return at -12.19%.
The article notes that overseas exposure may diversify investments, but does not guarantee lower risk or better returns; currency movements can affect performance.
