Two Youths Killed in Tamil Nadu Temple Concert Song Clash
On Sunday night, two young men were badly hurt and died in a small village in India.
The village was having a big festival at a temple called Ponniamman.
During the festival, there was a music concert.
Two groups of people argued about which songs should be played.
The police came and told them to stop arguing, then left.
Later, after the concert ended, the two men were sitting outside their house talking.
A group of people came on motorcycles and hurt them very badly.
The police are now watching the village to keep everyone safe.
Many people in the village are upset and say the police should have stopped the fight earlier.
Neelakandan (25) and Chandru (24) were hacked to death in Padunelli village near Kanchipuram on Sunday night.
The killing followed a quarrel between two gangs over the choice of songs at a music concert during a temple festival.
The victims were attacked by an unidentified gang arriving on two-wheelers while they sat outside their house after the concert.
Police had earlier intervened and pacified gang members during the concert but took no action at the time.
A large police force has been deployed in the village to prevent further clashes, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
