Hanuman Ansh Crosses Rs 100 Crore After Slow Start
Hanuman Ansh is a devotional film about Neem Karoli Baba.
It started slowly in cinemas but later became much more popular.
The movie has now earned more than Rs 100 crore in India.
Dr Vishal Chaturvedi wrote, directed, and produced the film.
He said he did not take a directing fee.
The film set served only vegetarian food.
The team recited the Hanuman Chalisa every day.
Chaturvedi also followed a fruit diet for about four and a half months before release.
He said the older film Jai Santoshi Maa inspired him to make a spiritual movie.
Hanuman Ansh, based on Neem Karoli Baba’s life and philosophy, has crossed Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office.
The film opened with approximately Rs 10 lakh but gained momentum during its third week through positive audience response and word-of-mouth.
Writer-director-producer Dr Vishal Chaturvedi said he waived his directing fee for the project.
Chaturvedi said the set served vegetarian food, included daily Hanuman Chalisa recitations, and that he followed a fruit diet for about 4.5 months.
