Police to challenge acquittal of SP leader Moid Khan
A court in Ayodhya recently acquitted a 72-year-old Samajwadi Party leader named Moid Khan in a rape case involving a 12-year-old girl.
However, his servant, Raju Khan, was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
The police are now planning to challenge Moid Khan's acquittal in a higher court.
They also want to ask for a harsher punishment for Raju Khan.
The case started when the girl was taken to the hospital for stomach pain, and doctors found she was pregnant.
DNA tests showed that Raju Khan was the father, not Moid Khan.
The Samajwadi Party says Moid Khan was wrongly accused and that the case was politically motivated.
