FTSE Index Adds Indian Stocks, MCX and IOB Included
Imagine a list of the biggest and most important companies in the world, and the FTSE All-World Index is that list.
Every so often, the people who make this list, FTSE Russell, update it.
They've decided to add some new companies from India, including Indian Overseas Bank and MCX.
This means these Indian companies are now considered important enough to be included in a list that shows how well the whole stock market is doing.
These changes take place from September 22, 2025.
FTSE Russell is adding Indian stocks to the All-World Index.
Indian Overseas Bank and MCX are among the stocks being added.
The changes are part of a periodic index review.
The index tracks large and mid-cap stocks worldwide.
The inclusion of the stocks will be effective September 22, 2025.
