Gujarat appoints teams to curb fertiliser black marketing

Farmers in the Indian state of Gujarat need fertiliser to help their crops grow.

Some people were doing bad things with fertiliser, like selling it secretly at higher prices or keeping it hidden.

The Gujarat government decided to stop this.

It is sending special officers to every district.

These officers will check shops that sell fertiliser and make sure their records match what is actually in the shop.

They will also make sure farmers are not forced to buy extra things they do not want.

Officers will watch factories to make sure they do not use fertiliser meant for farms.

This way, farmers can get the fertiliser they need at fair prices.
