Bengaluru Yellow Line Metro Inches Closer to Launch
The Yellow Line Metro in Bengaluru is getting ready to open!
The railway board approved the trains, and the safety checks are happening soon.
The trains are expected to start running in June, but only at a few stations at first.
This new line will connect the southern parts of the city, including the IT hub, to the rest of the metro system.
The project had some problems with getting the trains built on time, but now things are moving forward.
After the inspection, it will take approximately two weeks to implement any suggested modifications before partial services can begin.
Bengaluru's Yellow Line Metro has received Railway Board approval for its rolling stock.
CMRS inspection is expected by the end of May before the Yellow Line can begin operations.
Commercial operations are likely to begin in June, with limited service initially.
The 19.15-km corridor will connect R.V. Road and Bommasandra, including Electronics City.
Delays have occurred due to late delivery of driverless train sets and manufacturing issues with the original supplier.
