Meta Tests Personal AI Agent for Shopping, Relationships and Finances

Meta Tests Personal AI Agent for Shopping, Relationships and Finances

Meta is testing a new computer helper called Hatch.

It is meant to do tasks online instead of only answering questions.

For example, it could book a restaurant, buy a gift or find a dog sitter.

It may also help people manage health, relationships and money.

Hatch can connect to services such as email and calendars.

People can choose how it talks and must be able to approve actions.

Meta has not said when everyone can use it or how much it might cost.

The project is part of Meta’s larger effort to build more AI tools, which has also included changes to its workforce.
