Lok Sabha Introduces Stricter Anti-Paper Leak Bill Amid Opposition Protests
The Indian Parliament is introducing a new bill called the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026.
This bill aims to stop cheating in exams by making the rules stricter.
It includes big punishments like up to 10 years in jail and fines up to Rs 50 lakh for those who leak exam papers or cheat.
The bill also wants to set up special fast-track courts to make sure cases are decided quickly, within three months.
The government says this will protect students' futures and make exams fair.
Some people support these strict rules, while others think the punishments are too harsh.
The Parliament will also discuss another bill about increasing the number of judges in the Supreme Court.
