Delhi High Court Rejects Son’s Claim to Mother’s Property

Delhi High Court Rejects Son’s Claim to Mother’s Property

A man and his wife lived in a house owned in the man’s mother’s name.

The man said he helped pay for the property and its construction.

He believed that this should give him a share of the house.

The court said there was not enough written proof that he made those payments.

The important property papers did not name him as an owner.

The couple had been allowed to live there because they were family members.

The court explained that living in a family home for many years does not automatically make someone an owner.

It therefore upheld the decision requiring the couple to leave the property.
