Cricket Canada President Faces Visa Scrutiny Over Alleged Anti-India Ties

A top official in Cricket Canada, Amjad Bajwa, is facing scrutiny over his alleged associations with individuals and groups known for expressing anti-India sentiments.

Bhavjit Jauhar, Secretary of Cricket BC, has written to the Indian consulate in Vancouver, asking for Bajwa's visa application to be carefully reviewed.

Jauhar's concerns stem from Bajwa's interactions with a Khalistani activist and his recent visit to Pakistan, where he was reportedly hosted by high-ranking military officials.

Bajwa has refused to comment on the allegations, and the International Cricket Council (ICC) has not made any statements regarding the issue.

The T20 World Cup, which includes Canada, is scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka in February-March.
