WBPDCL Chair Inspects Coal Project Ahead of CM's Visit
Imagine a really big hole where we dig up coal, called Deucha Pachami.
The boss of the power company, Mr. Salim, went to check it out.
The Chief Minister might visit soon, too!
They are digging up coal there.
This coal mine is expected to change the area around it for the better.
They're also trying to replant trees so the mining is done in a sustainable way, and the project will cover around 3,400 acres.
The project has been going on for a while, and the coal reserve is very large.
WBPDCL chairman P B Salim inspected the Deucha Pachami coal mining project in Birbhum.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to visit the project soon to assess its progress.
Excavation work at Deucha Pachami began on February 6th, with stone layers now surfacing.
Salim stated Deucha Pachami aims to be a model for sustainable coal mining.
The project, with approximately 2.1 billion tonnes of coal, is expected to transform Birbhum's socio-economic landscape.
