Thailand Imposes Curfew Amid Border Fighting with Cambodia
Thailand and Cambodia are fighting near their border.
Thailand has put a curfew in some areas to keep people safe.
The fighting started again in May when a Cambodian soldier was killed.
The U.S. President, Donald Trump, tried to help stop the fighting, but it continues.
Both countries blame each other for the violence.
Many people have had to leave their homes because of the fighting.
Thailand says it will keep fighting until it feels safe, while Cambodia says Thailand is hurting civilian areas.
A pregnant woman had to flee her home and is now in a camp, worrying about giving birth there.
There are shortages of food and supplies in the camps.
Thailand has also stopped sending fuel to Laos because they think it might be going to Cambodia.
The fighting is happening in many places, and both sides are using different kinds of weapons.
Thailand has a stronger military, but both sides are accusing each other of breaking the truce.
Thailand imposed a curfew in five districts of Trat province and four districts of Sa Kaeo Province near the Cambodian border due to escalating fighting.
The conflict has displaced more than half a million people on both sides of the border since May 2023.
U.S. President Donald Trump mediated and announced a ceasefire agreement, but fighting continues.
Thailand accused Cambodia of using a bridge to transport heavy weapons and firing rockets at civilian areas, killing at least one civilian.
Cambodia accused Thailand of striking civilian infrastructure and vowed to continue fighting in self-defense.
