India accounts for over 40% of APAC's real estate investments

People and companies invest money in buildings like offices, shops and warehouses.

In the first half of 2026, investors put $105 billion into real estate in the Asia-Pacific region.

That was the strongest first half since 2022.

India received more than 40 percent of all that money.

Office buildings were the most popular type of property, followed by shops and factories.

India has attracted nearly $14 billion in office investments since 2022.

Buildings called data centres, which hold computer servers, also received a lot of money, about $6.7 billion.

Most of the money invested in India came from Indian investors, who increased their spending by 80 percent compared to last year.

Investors from other countries also spent more money in India, up 24 percent.

This shows that many people believe real estate in India and the region is a good place to invest.
