Uttarakhand Bans Mobiles, Cameras in Char Dham Temples
The government of Uttarakhand has decided that people going to the Char Dham temples (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri) will not be allowed to bring mobile phones and cameras inside the temple areas.
This rule starts this year.
The idea is to keep the temples peaceful and make sure people can pray without distractions.
Pilgrims will have to leave their phones and cameras in special places before entering the temples.
They can take pictures and videos only after they finish praying and leave the temple.
Last year, more than 50 lakh people visited these temples, and the government wants to make sure everyone has a good and safe experience this year.
Uttarakhand has banned mobile phones and cameras inside Char Dham temple premises starting this year.
The decision was made to maintain the spiritual atmosphere and ensure orderly darshan during the pilgrimage.
Pilgrims must deposit their mobile phones and cameras before entering the temple premises.
Photographs and videos are allowed only after completing darshan and exiting the temple complex.
The Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee will arrange secure facilities for safekeeping of devices.
