Delhi extends water bill waiver deadline
The Delhi government has extended the deadline for a special plan that helps people pay their water bills without extra charges.
Originally, people had to pay by January 31, 2026, to get a full waiver on late payment charges.
Now, they have until August 15, 2026.
Over 3,30,000 people have already used this plan to pay their bills without extra charges.
The government says this extension is because of system issues and requests from local leaders.
They are also working to improve the billing system and make it easier for people to pay their bills.
The government wants people to pay their dues as soon as possible and not wait until the new deadline.
