HMDA Restructures, Expanding Authority and Decentralizing Approvals
HMDA, the group that plans development in Hyderabad, is getting a big makeover.
They're expanding their area to cover more districts and villages.
To make things faster and easier for people, HMDA is splitting into 16 smaller groups.
Each group will be able to make decisions, like giving approvals, locally instead of everyone having to go to one central office.
New leaders will be in charge, and they will also hire consultants to help plan how to make this all work.
The aim is to make planning, permissions, and services better for everyone.
HMDA is undergoing administrative restructuring due to expanded jurisdiction.
The jurisdiction expansion increased its coverage to 11 districts.
HMDA will be divided into 16 divisions (clusters) for easier governance.
Each division will have authority to issue approvals and clearances.
Consultants will be hired to guide the final implementation of the restructuring.
