'Outlander' Prequel Won't Recast McCardie, Honors Memory
The 'Outlander' prequel, 'Blood of My Blood,' will not recast the late actor Brian McCardie's role out of respect.
McCardie was set to play Isaac Grant, and the producers want to honor his work.
Instead of redoing scenes, the writers created a parallel storyline.
The show, premiering August 8th, follows the love stories of Jamie and Claire's parents.
It presents two stories in different timelines: 18th-century Scotland and World War I England.
This decision aims to preserve McCardie's performance and respect his contributions to the show.
