Tata Group Firms Report Mixed Results

Two companies under Tata Sons, Tata Elxsi and NELCO, have recently reported their financial results.

Tata Elxsi's stock has dropped by 37% over the past two years, but it has performed well over longer periods, with gains of 121% in five years and 484% in ten years.

In the last quarter (Q3 of FY26), the company's profit dropped by 45% due to a one-time impact of new labor laws.

Different financial experts have different opinions on the stock.

Some think it's too expensive and suggest selling it, while others believe it's a good time to buy.

On the other hand, NELCO reported a net loss of ₹1.19 crore in Q3 FY26, compared with a net profit of ₹4.95 crore in the same period last year.

The company's revenue saw a modest decline of 3%.

The Managing Director and CEO of NELCO mentioned that the company had made a conservative cost provision in line with accounting standards, factoring in anticipated changes under new labor regulations.

Both companies are monitoring developments around the final implementation of the labor codes and will make adjustments as required.
