MSC Deposits Rs 1227 Cr for Sister Vessel Release
The owners of a ship called MSC Elsa III, which sank off the coast of Kerala and caused a lot of pollution, had to pay a big amount of money to the Kerala High Court.
This was so they could get another ship, called MSC Akiteta II, released.
The court had asked for Rs 9,531 crore at first, but later reduced it to Rs 1,227.62 crore.
The money was paid in December, and the ship was released by the end of that month.
