India's FDI Inflows Projected to Surpass $100 Billion
India's economy is seeing a boost!
In the first part of the 2026 fiscal year, a lot more foreign money came into the country compared to the previous year, with a 10.5% increase.
This could lead to over $100 billion coming in each year.
Even though some money is going back out, the net amount of foreign money coming in is still strong.
The amount of money India made from services also went up a lot.
Also, money sent back to India by people working abroad has grown significantly.
This helps families and keeps the economy stable.
Overall, things look good for India's finances!
Gross FDI inflows in Q1 FY26 reached $25.2 billion, a 10.5% increase.
If the trend continues, annual gross FDI inflows may reach $100 billion.
Net FDI inflows in Q1 FY26 were $4.9 billion.
India's current account deficit decreased to $2.4 billion in Q1 FY26.
Remittance inflows increased to $33.2 billion in Q1 FY26.
