Court Allows Demolition of Iqbal Mirchi-Linked Hotel
A special court in Mumbai has allowed the city's municipal corporation, BMC, to demolish a hotel called Minhaz Hotel in Juhu.
This hotel was earlier attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as part of a money laundering case linked to a famous underworld figure, Iqbal Mirchi.
The court decided this because the building is old and in bad condition, which could be dangerous for people.
The BMC had already planned to demolish it but stopped when they found out about the ED's case.
The ED and the court both agreed that the building should be torn down to prevent any accidents.
The owners of the hotel, Purshottam and Bharat Manghanani, were informed but did not object.
Special PMLA Court allows BMC to demolish Minhaz Hotel in Juhu.
