Iran Accuses US, Israel, Europe of Waging 'Total War'
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, said that the United States, Israel, and Europe are fighting a 'total war' against Iran.
He thinks this war is even worse than the Iraq war in the 1980s because it's more complicated.
In the past, the Iraq war was easier to understand who was attacking whom.
But now, the enemies are putting pressure on Iran in many ways, like economically, culturally, and politically.
This is happening because of recent attacks and sanctions.
In June, Israel attacked Iranian military and nuclear sites, and Iran responded by launching missiles and drones.
The US helped Israel and also bombed some Iranian nuclear facilities.
Recently, Israel killed a senior commander from Iran’s Quds Force in Lebanon.
The UN has also reimposed sanctions on Iran’s nuclear programme.
Now, there are concerns that Iran is rebuilding its missile facilities and repairing its air defences.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused the United States, Israel, and Europe of waging a 'total war' against Iran.
Pezeshkian stated that the current war is more complex and difficult than the Iraq war in the 1980s.
The accusations come in the context of recent strikes and sanctions, including Israel's airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites in June and the killing of a senior Quds Force commander in December 2025.
Iran retaliated by launching hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel, with the US helping to intercept these attacks and later bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities.
There are concerns that Iran is rebuilding ballistic missile production facilities and repairing air defences damaged during the June conflict, while the UN has reimposed sanctions on Iran’s nuclear programme.
