Karnataka CM Shivakumar accuses BJP, JD(S) of legislative hooliganism

Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar criticized the BJP and JD(S) for stopping work in the state legislature.

He called their shouting and protests “hooliganism.”

The Opposition wants Minister B Nagendra removed from the Cabinet.

This demand is connected to alleged irregularities involving Rs 89 crore at a tribal development corporation.

The allegations arose while Nagendra was the state’s Tribal Welfare Minister.

Shivakumar said the Opposition should give notice and discuss the issue inside the House.

He also said the BJP was unfairly targeting a Dalit and tribal leader.

Nagendra resigned from his earlier ministerial post, was later arrested by the Enforcement Directorate, and is currently out on bail.
