TikToker Tea Tyme arrested for fatal hit-and-run

A TikToker named Tea Tyme, whose real name is Tynesha McCarty-Wroten, was arrested for allegedly hitting and killing a man named Darren Lucas while she was driving and livestreaming.

The incident happened in November in a Chicago suburb.

Tea Tyme was arrested on December 23 in Zion, Illinois.

The police confirmed that a video from her livestream showed the crash.

Tea Tyme said she didn't see the man crossing the road and thought she had a green light.

She was charged with reckless homicide and using her phone while driving.

After the incident, she continued to livestream and asked for donations, which upset many people.
