Chandigarh Police Conducts Bomb Threat Mock Drill at ISBT-43
The Chandigarh Police did a practice exercise to pretend there was a bomb at a big bus station.
They wanted to see how well different teams like the police, doctors, and firefighters work together in an emergency.
They found a fake bomb and practiced making the area safe.
Many different groups helped, and everything went smoothly.
The bus station was closed for a while but opened again after the practice was over.
This helps them be ready for real emergencies, especially with big events coming up.
Chandigarh Police conducted a mock drill simulating a bomb threat at ISBT-43 to test emergency response preparedness.
The exercise was supervised by SP (Operations) Geetanjali Khandelwal and DSP (Operations) Vikas Sheokand.
A dummy bomb was successfully traced and 'defused' during the drill, with no additional suspect items found.
Various emergency services, including HIT teams, Bomb Detection Squad, and medical teams, participated in the exercise.
The drill aimed to assess inter-agency coordination, response time, and communication flow during emergency situations.
