Delhi HC Restrains Infringement of Dhanuka Agritech's Trademark
A court in Delhi has told some companies to stop using the trademark 'DHANUKA' without permission.
This is because the company Dhanuka Agritech Ltd.
owns the trademark and the court found other companies were using it illegally.
The court's decision, an interim stay, prevents these companies from selling products under the 'DHANUKA' name until the next hearing in January.
The judge noted the defendants did not follow rules and sold products without proper licenses through e-commerce platforms.
The judge said this could mislead people and damage the reputation of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd.
and also noted that the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, had issued an advisory for the sale of insecticides through e-commerce activities.
Dhanuka Agritech Ltd.
is a well-known company in the agrochemical sector with a large presence across India.
Delhi High Court restrained entities from using the ‘DHANUKA’ trademark without authorization.

The court granted an interim stay until January 29.
Defendants were found to be selling products without valid licenses.
