Operation Safed Sagar Humanizes Ajay Ahuja Beyond War Heroics

Operation Safed Sagar is a Netflix series about the 1999 Kargil War.

It shows how the Indian Air Force helped during the conflict.

One important character is Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja, played by Siddharth.

The creators wanted viewers to see him as a real person, not only as a brave war hero.

They learned about him by speaking with his wife, Alka Ahuja.

The show includes ordinary moments from his marriage and friendships.

The creators did not constantly hint that Ahuja would die.

They wanted those moments to feel normal because the characters did not know what would happen.

The team says the series is about people affected by war as much as the fighting itself.
