UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key Release Expected Soon
The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test, or UGC NET, is a big exam in India for students who want to become professors or researchers.
Thousands of students took this exam in June and early July of 2026.
Now the students are waiting to find out which answers were correct.
The group that runs the exam is called the National Testing Agency, or NTA.
The NTA will soon put the answer key, the response sheets, and the question paper online.
An answer key lists the correct answers, so students can guess their score.
It was a huge task because the exam covered 87 different subjects, which is why everyone is still waiting.
Students who think an answer is wrong can ask for it to be checked again, but they must pay 200 rupees for each question they challenge.
The exam is very important because it decides who can become a junior research fellow or an assistant professor in India.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to publish the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key soon on ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
UGC NET exams were conducted on June 22-25, 29-30, with a retest on July 5, 2026, covering 87 subjects.
Candidates can challenge answer keys for a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question, with valid justification and proof.
Response sheets and attempted question papers will be released along with the official answer key.
UGC NET determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor posts, and PhD admission in Indian universities.
An NTA source said the delay is because the June examination covered 87 subjects, adding 'We will release the results soon.'
