NDA Courts DMDK for 2026 TN Alliance; AIADMK's Role Strengthened
The BJP-led group in India, called the NDA, is trying really hard to get a party called DMDK to join their team for the next big election in Tamil Nadu in 2026.
They had a big win in another state called Bihar and now they want to make their team stronger in Tamil Nadu.
They've been talking to DMDK a lot and hope to know if DMDK will join them by the end of this year.
The main party in the NDA, AIADMK, is helping with these talks and is seen as the leader of the opposition in Tamil Nadu.
The NDA also wants to work with other parties like PMK and actor Vijay's TVK, but they don't all agree on how the government should be run after the election.
Some parties want to share power, but AIADMK wants to run the government on its own.
Despite this, the NDA thinks people are unhappy with the current government and that will help them make more alliances.
