Houthis Report 106 Saudi Strikes as Yemen Government Launches Campaign

The Houthis said Saudi Arabia carried out 106 strikes in Yemen in one day.

They said the strikes hit several places, including the capital, Sanaa.

The numbers have not been independently checked, and Saudi Arabia had not confirmed the reported attacks.

Yemen's internationally recognised government announced a campaign to take back areas held by the Houthis.

The government called it the "battle of liberation."

A local security official said Houthi fighters entered At Turbah after government forces left.

Some government troops moved to nearby mountains or into Lahj province.

The reports come during a sharp increase in fighting in Yemen.
