CPI(M) Criticizes Maharashtra Bill, Calls for Street Protests
The CPI(M) is very upset about a new law in Maharashtra called the MSPS Bill.
They think it's bad because it could stop people from speaking out against the government and big companies.
They believe it's being used to silence protests against things like land being taken away for new projects.
While some political groups in the state spoke out against the bill before it was passed, the CPI(M) was disappointed that they didn't do so in the Assembly.
Now, the CPI(M) wants everyone to protest the bill in the streets, instead of just relying on court cases, to try and get rid of it completely.
CPI(M) criticized the Maharashtra Special Public Security (MSPS) Bill, calling it an attack on democratic rights.
The MVA's silence in the Assembly regarding the MSPS Bill was considered unfortunate by CPI(M).
The bill is seen as a tool to suppress people's movements against corporate-led projects.
CPI(M) urges the MVA to take to the streets in protest to repeal the Bill.
The CPI(M) opposes the MSPS Bill entirely, seeking its complete repeal.
