India’s Q1 FY27 Growth Seen at 7-8 Percent

India’s Q1 FY27 Growth Seen at 7-8 Percent

Experts think India’s economy grew quickly between April and June 2026.

Most estimates put growth between 7% and 7.5%.

State Bank of India expects an even higher rate of 8%.

The official number will be released on August 31, 2026.

Factories, services and government spending helped the economy.

People and businesses also continued to spend and borrow.

Farming grew more slowly because of heat, delayed monsoon rains and low reservoir levels.

The conflict in West Asia affected some fuel, fertilizer and industrial indicators.

Experts expect farming to improve in later quarters, but future growth will depend partly on the conflict and the harvest.
