DTC's losses match Delhi's budget
The Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta, said that the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has lost a lot of money, as much as the entire budget of Delhi.
She blamed the previous government for causing this problem by giving control of DTC to another organization.
The current government is trying to fix the DTC.
DTC's losses are Rs 97,000 crore, matching Delhi's budget of Rs 1 lakh crore.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta accused the previous AAP government of mismanaging DTC.
DTC operations were handed over to DIMTS, leading to a crisis.
DTC drivers and conductors were reportedly left idle.
The current BJP government is trying to revive the DTC.
