Suspended KPSC chairman faces arrest after third CID notice

Sahukar Shivashankarappa is the suspended chairman of the Karnataka Public Service Commission.

The Criminal Investigation Department is investigating alleged problems in government recruitment.

Investigators have asked him to answer questions three times.

He attended the first two questioning sessions but did not attend the latest one.

A court has refused to give him protection from arrest before a trial.

CID officials have also searched his home in Bengaluru.

Separately, he is accused of using false documents to obtain 27 acres of land in Yadgir district.

Shivashankarappa has not been convicted of these allegations, and the investigation is continuing.

The case has also caused a political dispute between the Karnataka government and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
