Ram Gopal Varma Backs Allu Aravind in Yash Stardom Debate
A producer named Allu Aravind once asked who knew Yash before the movie KGF.
Some people thought this sounded insulting to Yash.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma defended Aravind’s comment.
He said the point was that a very successful movie can make an actor famous to many more people.
Varma compared Yash’s wider recognition with Prabhas after Baahubali and Rishab Shetty after Kantara.
He also said some directors choose actors mainly for their acting, not just their fame.
Varma called the argument unnecessary and said people with big egos might take the comment personally.
Some social-media users then accused Varma of taking an indirect dig at Yash.
